Dr. Franck completed medical school in New York City at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, in 1991. She remained at Columbia University for her internship in internal medicine, which was completed in 1992, and for her residency in dermatology, which was completed in 1995. Immediately following dermatology residency, Dr. Franck pursued a fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncolcogy at the University of Minnesota Cutaneous Surgery and Laser Center, where she had the great opportunity to train with one of the nation’s leading surgeons, Dr. Christopher Zachary. Dr. Franck completed her Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology College fellowship in November, 1996.
Taking her surgical skills back to New York, Jeanne Marie opened a Cutaneous Surgery and Oncology practice in Garden City in January of 1997, specializing in Mohs Micrographic Surgery. Dr. Franck has been an active part of the Garden City community, treating skin cancer, for many years. Dr. Franck has been repeatedly listed in both Newsday’s Top Doctors, and Castle Connolly’s Top Doctors of NY. She has been awarded this distinction for the past 10 consecutive years.
Dr. Franck is is a fellow of the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology. She is also a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Franck is board certified in Dermatology.
Dr. Franck is an Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Columbia University where she has been an active part of the teaching staff since 1997. She remains dedicated to teaching her surgical skills to the dermatology residents with lectures, suturing workshops, and hands on clinical teaching.
When she is not at work, Dr. Franck enjoys spending time with her family on the east end of Long Island, and advocating for animal rights.
